About Blackpool Tip and Household Waste Recycling Centre

Blackpool Tip and Household Waste Recycling Centre is run by Enveco NW Environmental Services on behalf of Blackpool Council and welcomes approximately 200,000 residents each year. It manages 8,000 tons of waste at an average recycling rate of 78%, and residents are asked to sort their waste before arriving so items reach the right bays quickly. Glass, plastic bottles, metal cans, light bulbs and electronics can be recycled on site. Vans and cars towing trailers must buy a permit, and DIY construction waste is subject to specific rules, so check the permit scheme list before visiting. Commercial waste is not accepted, and businesses must use a registered waste carrier. Enveco also runs a green waste collection service for the town.
